Saugerties.

It`s Monday morning and i walk towards Hudson River

The morning air is thick and humid after two days of nonstop rain.

The sun is out the sky is blue and i am taking off layers of clothes
i had to put on the two previous days as it was getting colder.

We left Manhattan
late afternoon last Friday and took the Metro North
from Grand Central
destination Poughkeepsie.

Our dear friend Nancy came and picked us up and after a forty five minutes
drive we came to their beautiful house in Saugerties.

Martin was cooking dinner and their three adorable pussycats,
Buddy,Romeo and Stella were there all excited to meet us.

After all we were going to take care of them for the next ten days
while our friends were taking off to Amsterdam.

First time i came here was on my first trip to America
in 1997.

Kathleen loves this place and she was eager for me to meet her friends
and the house that had been her refuge from the city and a constant
source of inspiration for her work.

It is a really magnificent house on the top of the hill surounded by green
fields and forest with several paths leading to the river.

We have been here several times covering all seasons and it has been
a source of inspiration for me too.

At least three songs from my upcoming album have been conceived
in this house.
