Sunday Night Jam at the Bitter End.
Sunday night i was invited by my friend and very good drummer
Mark Greenberg to join
his jam sessions at The Bitter End.
I rode the F train to West 4 and there i was in the heart of Greenwich Village .
I walked passed the Blue Note
and headed towards Bleecker St.
It was a beutiful summer night and many people, mostly tourists were
walking up and down Bleecker st.checking out all the famous clubs.
I passed the Red Lion,
Kennys Castaways,
Terra Blues and i entered The Bitter End with my
Strat on my back.
The place was packed and the House band was playing that Funky Music.
I immediately recognized many familiar faces, i waved hi to everyone,
i sat myself comfortably at the bar and ordered a Bass Ale.
It was then that the band stopped playing and Mark started calling people up
on the stage forming new bands thet would play two songs each.
The level of Musicianship was high and i listened and watched for an hour
to all types of music played before Mark called me up there
together with another guitar player,a keyboard player,a saxophone player,
a drummer and a bass player.
I played two songs with the band and we made up some Funky music
with the keyboard player leading the band and singing
and me having fun, being there playing my guitar and creating music
with all these people i just met on the stage for the first time.
Well time does fly when you have fun and after we finished playing,
the house band took over as i was walking out the door.
