September in N.Y.C.

It is so beautiful.

My birthday is on September 7th, and i must admit that
this is the best month to be in New York.

First of all it is the good weather with the delicious light
and a blue sky that`s one of the most beautiful i have seen.

And beleive me i know what i am talking about
since Greece is famous for it`s light and blue skies.

Second it is the enormous energy this city is filled with
especially this month when everyone is back from holidays
and ready for a new start.

I`ve been so busy!

The choices are endless and you have to be most eclectic
not to miss the ones that are important to you!

My journey started last Saturday when i went to Lucilles
where my friend Nikki Armstrong and her band
was playing.

The show was excellent, as always and i`ve got the chance to jam
three songs with these amazing musicians.

Monday night i took the Path Train
to Hoboken to one of my
favorite blues clubs Scotland Yard Bar.

Arthur Neilson was hosting the Monday
night Jam,and the band was cooking.

I sign my name for the jam and then i spent some time at the bar
talking and meeting many good friends musicians
whom i hadn`t seen for a while and that was so much fun.

Christine Santelli,Mike Torres, V.D King
Matt Mousseauand Karan Serafin were all there contributing their talents to one of the best jams around.

Wednesday night i walked over toSmith`s Bar
invited by my friend Susan D who was playing
there with Askold Buk, Robin Gould and Dave Anderson.

I stayed for one very good set of originals and some classics
and then i headed over to BBking`s
where Joe Taino was playing .

His playing is such an inspiration and i ended up coming home
and jamming till the wee hours.
