Kathleen.
When i first submitted my E.P.K via Sonicbids
to a new indie record label in Chicago K.T.Recordz
i didn`t know what to expect.
The next day i`ve got an e-mail saying that the company loved my song,
asking for my permission to release it in September,
on a compilation cd with the title Guitars of Tomrrow vol.1.
They said that 30.000 to 50.000 copies will be released first and will be
sent to record stores, colleges, guitar magazines etc, etc.
I gave them my permission and now i am so happy and excited.
I wrote the song almost ten years ago when i first met Kathleen,
who is now my beloved and dear wife.
I remember recording it in one take, with just a solo overdub.
My good friend and very good musician Leo Georgoulis
was the sound engineer and played bass on the track, along with
Kyriakos Darivas on drums, whom i`ve known
since our playing days together in the band of
the Greek Rock legend Pavlos Sidiropoulos.
I also remember that it didn`t get any good feedback
from any Greek Record label that i submitted it to.
But that didn`t surpised me since the only kind of music
any Greek record label would ever be interested recording,
is the worst type of Bouzouki related music, with lyrics
that relate to the ears of people uninterested in any other
type of music whatsoever expept that same old, that they know
and apparently love.
And sadly that`s the 90% of the Greek population.
All and every other type of music relates to hardly 10%
of Greek people.
And that`s SAD!
