Two huge names in Rock!
Two very influential guitar players.
Two amazing concerts i saw last week.
Thursday night Robin Trower was playing at BBKING`S and it was sold out, and it was fantastic.
The sound was great, the band was grooving and everybody seemed to have a fabulous time.
This year they started their set with “Confessin`Midnight” from “Earth Bellow”
in a funkier less rocky version which i liked, and the show ended with
“Daydream” from Robin`s first album “Twice removed from Yesterday”.
Friday night, my student and good friend Carlo invited me to
The Beacon Theater to see another favorite of mine.
Mr. Peter Frampton who was doing a 35th year anniversary
show presenting the songs from his multi platinum album “Frampton Comes Alive”,
and it was recorded live in it`s entirely on a three CD /DVD set that you could order right then and there.
The show was sold out the sound was fantastic, and the newly renovated theater is one of the best
in N.Y.C.
