She feels so good.(A song`s writing process)
Nov 9, 2011 Uncategorized

“She Feels So Good” is the first song on my new album
Loveborne Blues.
In 2006 i bought a PXR4 digital recording studio devise called “Pandora”
made by Tone Works and highly promoted
in the Guitar Player magazine.
It was a pain to use, but once i figured out the basics i went to visit our friends near
Saugerties and i took it with me
together with my Brian Moore i Guitar
which i was then endorsing and doing demos at Manny`s.
It was a beautiful autumn night and as i plugged my guitar into the “Pandora”
and selected a drum pattern the first thing that i started playing was the riff
that ended up being the driving force behind “She Feels So Good”.
I really liked it, it had a kind of ZZ Top feel to it,
that was really grooving so i kept it and i was jamming with it for a long time,
before i started putting lyrics to it.
But the lyrics are always taking longer time for me to write and no matter how
hard i was working on them they never fully realized till it was clear that this song was
about my wife Kathleen and all the good things we have together.
Then i just sat down and wrote them all at once.
I recorded it using my trusty Blade
and my 22 Mesa Boogie studio amp.
